Howard A. London


Howard London has focused his practice on complex family law and commercial litigation at the trial and appellate court level for over 33 years. He has extensive trial court experience and has handled well over 100 appeals in the state and federal appellate courts. Mr. London is a Past President of the Appellate Lawyers Association of Illinois. He has lectured and published widely on appeals, family law topics, and other legal subjects.  He has represented clients nationwide in family law and other matters on a pro hac vice basis, as well as in international child custody and other family law disputes.  In addition to traditional litigation, Mr. London represents clients in various Alternate Dispute Resolution methods, such as mediation and Cooperative Law, to achieve fair settlements in an amicable and cost-effective way.

Mr. London is recognized in The Best Lawyers in America in the categories of Family Law and Appellate Law, by the Leading Lawyers Network in family law and civil appeals, on the Best of United States website, and Marquis' Who's Who in America (2011).  He was listed as one of the Top 10 Civil Appellate attorneys for 2014 in Leading Lawyers Magazine.  Mr. London has been recognized as an Illinois Super Lawyer in family law every year since 2005.   • Volunteer Participant in the Retreat to Develop an Action Strategy on Strengthening Complimentarity in Kenya, sponsored by the Open Society Initiative for Eastern Africa and the Open Society Justice Initiative, Nanyuki, Kenya, May 17, 2011.  The objective of the retreat was to develop a strategy and action plan to foster domestic accountability for crimes consistent with Kenya's domestic and international legal obligations.
