Shana L. Vitek

Shana L. Vitek has exclusively practiced family law since 2003, representing clients in divorce, child custody, paternity and post-dissolution matters. She is a member of the firm's Family Law Sports and Entertainment Division, where she has gained extensive experience working on high profile cases, with excellent results. Although not a stranger to the courtroom, Ms. Vitek strongly believes that even the toughest divorce cases are best resolved by the parties through amicable settlement negotiations that preserve the integrity of the family through this difficult process. She is proud of the fact that many of her clients never even step foot into a courtroom until the day they finalize their divorce.

Ms. Vitek is also a Fellow of the Collaborative Law Institute of Illinois and a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, which encourages all parties to take control of the divorce process and make decisions that are in the best interest of the family, as opposed to depleting substantial resources and experiencing significant stress in court. Ms. Vitek has also received a Certificate of Professional Achievement in Family and Divorce Mediation Training from DePaul University. She has repeatedly been selected for inclusion on the Super Lawyers Rising Stars List, a designation reserved for only 2.5% of the lawyers in Illinois.

Shana lives in Chicago with her husband, Eric, and daughter, Olivia.
