About Marcus Dominguez
Marcus Dominguez dedicates his practice primarily on divorce and family law related issues, including property division, child support, maintenance, complex financial issues, parenting time, relocation, domestic violence, and orders of protections, as well as a wide range of other divorce and family related issues.
He uses his experience as a domestic violence advocate, Civitas ChildLaw Fellow, and law clerk for the Domestic Relations Division of Cook County to counsel his clients during high conflict and inherently complex stages of their case from start to finish.
Marcus Dominguez focuses his practice in all areas of divorce and family law, including the litigation and negotiation of parenting time, child support, maintenance, division of property, enforcement and modification of court orders, relocation, and domestic violence and orders of protection.
Mr. Dominguez began his career as a law clerk in Beermann LLP’s family and business law divisions while in law school and continued as an associate attorney upon admission to the Illinois Bar. Before beginning his career at Beermann LLP, Mr. Dominguez was a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge William S. Boyd in the Domestic Relations Division of Cook County, where he conducted extensive legal research regarding complex financial and child related issues.
While in law school, Mr. Dominguez represented numerous children in highly contested custody disputes as an intern at the Cook County Office of the Public Guardian and Loyola’s Civitas ChildLaw Clinic. Prior to law school, he was a domestic violence advocate, working directly with police officers to facilitate on-site services for survivors of domestic violence. At every stage of his career, Mr. Dominguez has utilized his ability to speak Spanish to better advocate for his clients.
Mr. Dominguez is committed to being a compassionate and zealous advocate, guiding his clients through highly emotional times on a personal level.
