On May 10, 2014, Family Law partner Enrico J. Mirabelli attended the Ellis Island Medal of Honor Ceremony in New York. The ceremony honored a distinguished group of Americans. Each individual represents the very essence of the American way of life, having greatly contributed to our national identity while preserving the distinct values and heritage of their ancestors.
Some of the award recipients included Maria Bartiromo, Edwin M. Chang, M.D., Captain Jeffrey F. Dixon, USCG, Evander Holyfield, and Honorable Jesse C. White. 90 people received the awards.
The Ellis Island Medal of Honor has been aptly named, for the Island is a symbol of the diversity of our nation’s people – a people whose genius, culture, artistry and thought have oiled to form a single mosaic of many cultures and ancestral backgrounds.
