About Amy L. Jonaitis

Amy L. Jonaitis focuses her practice primarily in the areas of matrimonial law and family law and counsels clients on the various aspects of dissolution of marriage proceedings. This includes child custody, support, visitation, property division, financial issues related to divorce, and post-dissolution matters

She also works on prenuptial agreements, appellate matters and civil litigation related to orders of protection. Ms. Jonaitis concentrates her practice in complex family law litigation and has handled appellate matters in the First, Second, and Third Districts in Illinois, as well as the Illinois Supreme Court.

Ms. Jonaitis is actively involved in volunteer work, both within and outside the legal community, including providing pro bono representation to military veterans and active duty military personnel in domestic relations cases through the American Bar Association Pro Bono Project. Additionally, she is a member of the DePaul Family Law Center Advisory Board. Ms. Jonaitis is currently an adjunct professor at DePaul University, College of Law.
