About Claire M. Cunningham

Claire M. Cunningham is a compassionate and zealous advocate, focusing her practice primarily on divorce and family law issues, including parenting time, child support, division of property, intimate partner violence and domestic violence, as well as a range of other family related issues.

Ms. Cunningham understands that clients come to her during the most vulnerable times of their lives. She is committed to reaching resolutions that allow her clients, and their families, to ultimately thrive.

Ms. Cunningham clerked for Beermann LLP prior to her admission to the Illinois Bar. Before working in family law, she worked as a Policy Fellow in the Chicago Mayor’s Office, where she mainly focused on polices regarding sexual and domestic violence. 

Ms. Cunningham received her B.A. degree from Saint Louis University, where she focused her coursework on domestic violence. She received the “Outstanding Activism” award twice for her work on the campus’s sexual assault crisis hotline. She received her J.D.  degree from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, where she took courses specializing in family law and domestic violence policy.
