About Jonathan D. Steele
Jonathan D. Steele primarily focuses his practice in all areas of family law. He represents clients in the litigation of divorce, child custody, paternity, and post-dissolution matters.
Mr. Steele counsels clients in a wide range of matters including the negotiation and litigation of complex financial matters, child custody, support, division of property, domestic violence, contempt and enforcement proceedings, and parentage.
Mr. Steele began his career in family law as a law clerk at Nadler, Pritikin & Mirabelli LLC. Mr. Steele continued his career as a law clerk at Beermann LLP where he became an associate attorney upon admission to the Illinois Bar.
In recognition of his work in family law, Mr. Steele was recognized as one of the top ten family law attorneys in Illinois under the age of 40 by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys. Mr. Steele was similarly listed as one of the ten best family law attorneys in Illinois under the age of 40 by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys.
Most recently, Mr. Steele was recognized by his peers and named a Rising Star attorney by Illinois Super Lawyers magazine, a designation limited to less than 2.5% of lawyers fewer than 40 years of age in the State of Illinois.
Mr. Steele has also been recognized as a 2017 Emerging Lawyer by Leading Lawyers magazine. This designation is reserved for attorneys fewer than 40 years of age and accounts for less than 2% of Illinois attorneys.
Mr. Steele volunteers for the JUF Community Legal Services which provides pro bono representation to those in need of legal aid.
