About Madeline J. Sefton

Madeline J. Sefton joined Beermann as a law clerk in the family law division. She has always had a passion for helping others and the law, practicing family law is the perfect combination of both. Ms. Sefton has worked on pre-decree, post-decree, and parenting cases.

During law school, Ms. Sefton was a member and coach of the Moot Court Team. She coached her team at the Dominick L. Gabrielli Competition hosted by Albany Law School where they argued a complex family law issue.

During law school, Ms, Sefton was a member and coach of the Moot Court Team. She coached her team at the Dominick L. Gabrielli Competition hosted by Albany Law School where they argued a complex family law issue.  It was during Ms. Sefton’s time on the Moot Court Team where she learned to zealously advocate on behalf of others, and that she belonged in the courtroom.

Ms. Sefton was awarded the CALI Excellence Award in her Appellate Practice and Procedure Class; Interviewing, Counseling and Negotiation; and Conflict of Laws. 

During her undergraduate and law school career, Ms. Sefton volunteered at Gospel Mission in the Dayton Community helping kids who came from broken homes by providing a safe place for them to go after school, providing dinner, and being someone they could count on every week.
